Gun Range Update
I know many owners have concerns about our Gun Range being open. We have had a lot of correspondence with the insurance company working out a compromise to be able to re-open. We have reached an agreement which will allow the range to be used with the following rules. Some have always been in place and some will be new but are for everyone’s safety. We do have owners who have said they will be happy to help out with the compliance issues.
When checking out the key to the range a radio must also be checked out so you can keep in contact with the gate.
One of our EMTs must be on the ranch when anyone is using the range.
Shooters must have some form of competency training, ie; NRA, another shooting range, military training, sheriff’s dept etc. and be able to demonstrate to our staff they can handle their weapon safely.
A first aid kit must be available at the range.
Eye and ear protection must be worn.
Hold harmless must be on file.
Several owners have said they would be happy to hold some gun safety classes for anyone interested.
If anyone has questions on the requirements please call the ROA and speak to either Dennis (Ranch Manager) or Brenda (Office Manager).
